About the Outpost

The Outpost Safe Stay Community provides safe, temporary shelter and supportive services for people experiencing homelessness. Located in Vancouver's North Image neighborhood, The Outpost opened in December 2021 and features 20 two-person modular shelters, accommodating up to 40 residents.

Operated by Outsiders Inn, the site is staffed and managed 24/7 and offers a secure, stable environment with lighting, security cameras, sanitation facilities, showers, office and meeting space, and connections to supportive services. Our goal is to help residents build stability and successfully transition out of homelessness.

Time Limit? The Outpost has no strict time limit for a stay, our target is 6 months but our residents are in as long as they are actively working on their way out!

Facilities? Shared bathroom/shower units, power, heat, AC, WiFi, sleeping mats, hot dinners, and a communal kitchen area.
