Housing Stability
Bridging the gaps between shelter and home.
Empower individuals to maintain their housing in safe and sustainable ways.
For most, housing is a milestone, not a finish line.
Our Housing Stability specialists work to continue the support for those who have left shelter programs and moved on to long-term housing, ensuring that all the progress and momentum that leads our peers to their new home doesn’t end just past the front door.

How We Help
We understand that each person’s journey to housing is unique.
We recognize the critical need for assistance in bridging the transition from a shelter, or safe-stay community, into stable housing, and adjusting to new responsibilities, routines, and communities.
Our Housing Stability Program is designed to assist individuals by providing compassionate, individualized support in maintaining safe, stable, and lasting housing opportunities.
Some of the ways we offer support include…
Assistance completing rental applications, gathering necessary documentation, preparing for landlord interviews.
Move-in support during lease signing and utility setup, connecting new tenets with resources like furniture donations, rental assistance programs, legal aid services, tenant advocacy organizations.
Offering information and guidance on tenancy rights and responsibilities, lease agreements, fair housing laws.
Help in rebuilding informal support networks and establishing appropriate boundaries with new neighbors and community members.
Crisis intervention, peer support, referrals and admission assistance to local recovery resources.
Advocacy and milestone recognition for those progressing through their recovery journeys.
Conflict resolution, communication and negotiation support, preventing avoidable lease terminations and evictions.
